luke beasley
Luke
is a graduate of the University of Tasmania receiving a Bachelor of
Performing Arts in music and Bachelor of Teaching. He currently teaches
at the Oakwood School in Launceston where he has implemented an instrumental
music program and three school choirs. As well as his classroom teaching,
Luke is busy as a studio teacher where he teaches brass and percussion.
In 2003 Luke was the guest performer at the Star Lake Summer Music
Camp in New York, performing on bass trombone. Luke is the conductor
of the Development Band in the University of Tasmania Community Music
Programme. He is a performing member of the UTCMP Wind Orchestra, Ross
Challender Big Band, the fusion crossover group The Bossafly Effect
and regularly performs with brass bands throughout Tasmania.
